The Importance of STEAM Education
Over 80% of future jobs will be in STEAM fields. Yet, 33% of girls lose interest in STEAM between 3rd and 5th grade. Only 10% of girls show interest in STEAM in high school. (Only 10%!)
This trend must be reversed. Women can and must fill high-paying STEAM-related jobs -- to balance the workforce, improve societal inequities, and make the world a better place.
By the way, learning STEAM in the early years enables girls to succeed in other fields, too because the skills learned are readily transferable.
