WHAT IS A STEAM KINDERGARTEN READINESS ASSESSMENT?

Our STEAM Kindergarten Readiness Assessment is tailored to meet the unique needs of each child, taking into account their individual strengths and challenges. Our team of experienced educators will conduct a thorough evaluation of your child's academic abilities, including their knowledge of basic math, reading, and writing concepts. We'll also evaluate their social-emotional development, looking at their ability to interact with peers, follow directions, and regulate their emotions.

OBJECTIVE ASSESSMENT BY EXPERIENCED PROFESSIONALS

Our independent assessment is conducted by professionals who have no vested interest in the outcome of the evaluation. As a result, they can provide an objective evaluation of your child's readiness for kindergarten, without any biases or preconceptions. This can provide parents with a more accurate picture of their child's strengths and weaknesses, and help them make informed decisions about their child's education.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS AND TIMING FOR THE ASSESSMENT

For your child to qualify for the Kindergarten Readiness Assessment, they should be five years old by September 1st of the current year. A lot of parents opt to take the KRA in the spring or early summer to evaluate their child's strengths and weaknesses ahead of the start of school in the fall. Some parents who are interested in our KRA might be worried about their child's pre-academic skills development compared to their peers in preschool, while others may want to help their child get ahead in learning kindergarten concepts during the summer. Weaknesses or gaps in these foundational skills early on can impact a child's academic future, but with prompt evaluation and intervention, they can overcome these challenges and attain academic success.

STEAM-BASED READINESS ASSESSMENT AND RECOMMENDATIONS REPORT

The one-hour Kindergarten Readiness Assessment session incorporates carefully selected hands-on STEAM activities that evaluate essential skills crucial for a child's readiness for kindergarten. Based on the assessment results, we will provide you with a personalized report that outlines your child's strengths and areas for growth. We will also provide you with recommendations on how to support your child's development in these areas.
