Volunteer Opportunities

There are many ways to volunteer your time and talents with The STEAM Generation!  Whether you are an individual wanting to get more involved with us or as a part of a one-time group project for you and your colleagues—we have a range of opportunities to support our work in the community.

Classroom Volunteers act as Assistant Teachers by following The STEAM Generation Lead Teachers' direction, who guide elementary and middle school children on STEAM classroom projects and special events. Volunteers working directly with children will undergo background checks.

The STEAM Generation appreciates the mutually beneficial partnership we have with our volunteers. Volunteers provide the specialized skills, experience, and talents to help grow our technical and operational capacity. In turn, they benefit from bolstered reputations and visibility, and gain valuable experience in leadership development. Consider volunteering your skills virtually in areas such as digital marketing, fundraising, social media, inventory control, program and project management, event planning, and more. In-person volunteer opportunities for preparing classroom supply kits are also available at our office in Cobb County.

Destination Imagination Georgia is a volunteer-led program so we depend heavily on efforts and energy of volunteers around the state. We're looking for volunteers to help plan and run our state tournament.

We’re looking for volunteers to model read aloud practices by creating videos showcasing you reading a story in a fun, engaging way. Modeling reading helps children learning how to read, practice, and improve! Children will also benefit by learning about a STEAM topic.

You know that look of wonder and joy that children get on their faces when they listen to someone read a story to them? Volunteers are invited to record a video of themselves reading a STEAM book in order to engage children in the joy reading. No special equipment is required. All you need is a mobile or laptop device.

This is a great activity for a company team project.
